Happy Birthday Sweetie!  A year older and I hope a year wiser too!  She wasn’t expecting any presents this morning (as if!) since she already got her birthday present – Theo (just in case you weren’t aware, Theo is a puppy) and also because I told there will be no more presents!  So she was pleasantly surprised that we did buy her some presents after all.  Gosh! I cannot believe she is so big now.  I still remember the day she was born as all parents do.

I am not good with words as some people are and have poems and wonderful words to accompany the photos.  Just know that we love you sweetheart with all our hearts! She was quite a chubby baby! That 3rd photo in the second storyboard was her when her sister was born.

Just more images from my holiday down in Victoria. We were out photographing Sonia’s second son and Sonia took the opportunity to have some pictures taken with him.  Can you feel the love?  Words are so unnecessary at times like this.

We do not go on holidays very often but last year we were invited by a very special friend of mine, Sonia to come stay with them after Christmas.  So after months of waiting and planning (kind of!) we finally made it to their beautiful property near Ballarat in Victoria.  Sonia is a very talented photographer specialising in Black & White Film photography as well as wet plates.  To see more of her amazing work, visit her website, Bohemian Secret Photography.

Before we left I told Sonia that I was worried about our children getting along. She has 3 energetic country boys who love the open spaces and I have 2 quiet (well one of them is but the other is err…well not so quiet!) city born and bred girls!  To my relief they got along quite well. The animals were a hit!  Let’s list them all – 1 pony, 3 dogs, 2 cats, 3 chooks, 3 guinea pigs (or is that 2? one is pregnant so the number will increase soon!), 2 sheep (I think!).  My girls loved the pony rides and my elder daughter love their little Yorkshire Terrier (as a result we now have a miniature poodle! See my older post)!

When 2 photographers get together you know what will inevitably happen!  There is no way that we will not take photos!  I had my fill of photographing Sonia’s beautiful family especially her second son.  That boy is a natural model in the making.  Sonia has taught him well!  However, her two other sons are just as adorable and photographed just as well.  Well, the  youngest one was a bit tricky but I still managed to get some.

For someone from the city, I love the country setting. What’s not to love?  All that beautiful space – drinking coffee (hand grinded by the way) out by the deck looking at all the natural beauty Mother Nature bestowed on us. Sigh!  There is no way I can fit everything into this one post so it will have to be several posts as and when I can fit them in.
